ES Vinyl Partial Transfer Foil
Add a beautiful decorative finish to your creations with our ES Vinyl Partial Transfer Foils.
Partial Transfer Foil features decorative patterns and effects that transfer selectively onto your chosen design, allowing the foil detailing to become part of the finished project.
Suitable for:
- Tumblers
- Fabric
- Toner
Our transfer foil collection has been carefully selected with tumbler crafting at its heart, offering an exciting range of colours, patterns and effects for creating beautifully foiled tumbler designs.
But the creative possibilities don't stop there. Our Partial Transfer Foils are also suitable for fabric and laser toner applications, giving you even more ways to experiment, create and discover what these beautiful foils can do.
Tumbler Application
Apply using a suitable transfer foil adhesive and your preferred tumbler foiling method.
Application and curing requirements can vary depending on the adhesive and products being used, so always follow the instructions provided with your chosen adhesive and carry out a small test where necessary.
Fabric Application
For heat press application, the manufacturer's recommended starting settings are:
Temperature: 120°C
Pressure: 32.5 PSI
Pressing Time: 2–3 minutes
Peel: Cold Peel
Allow the project to cool before removing the foil carrier.
For household application using a suitable iron, the manufacturer recommends testing within a temperature range of 120–160°C.
These settings are provided as a starting guide. Fabrics, adhesives and equipment can vary considerably, and prolonged heat may not be suitable for every material. Always check that your chosen fabric can safely withstand the required temperature and pressing time and carry out a test before applying to your final project.
Toner Application
Partial Transfer Foils can also be used with laser-printed toner designs and a suitable laminator.
Please note: toner foil application requires a laser printer. Inkjet printing is not suitable for this application method.
- Print your chosen design onto suitable paper using a laser printer.
- Position the foil over the printed toner area.
- Place a clean sheet of A4 paper over the top of the foil to create a protective layer.
- Pass the complete layered project through a suitable laminator.
- Once processed, remove the foil carrier to reveal your transferred foil effect.
The manufacturer recommends using the clean sheet of paper over the foil to protect it from direct exposure to the high temperature of the laminator, which could otherwise cause the foil to crack.
Laminators, laser printers and materials can vary, so we recommend carrying out a small test to establish the best settings for your particular equipment.
Size & Finish
Each roll contains just over 1 metre of foil, giving you a little extra to work with.
Our foils are professionally cut down from larger manufacturer rolls. Because of this process, the stated width is approximate and you may occasionally notice slight variations along the very outer edges of the roll.
This is a normal part of the manufacturing and cutting process and has no effect on the quality, performance or usable foil design.
Please Note
Colours and finishes may appear slightly different depending on screen settings and lighting. Holographic, metallic and reflective finishes can vary considerably in appearance as they catch the light.
Application results can vary depending on the surface, adhesive, equipment and application method being used. We always recommend carrying out a small test before completing your final project.
Store your foil in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid creasing and handle with clean, dry hands.
